Mobile machinery is our core business. We arrange the international and domestic movement of wheeled and tracked equipment for contractors, hire companies, dealers, miners and private owners, choosing the shipping method that suits each machine rather than forcing every job into the same box.

Depending on the machine, the route and the budget, that may be RoRo, a container or flat rack, or breakbulk as project cargo. Our directors have specialised in heavy machinery logistics since 2007, so you deal directly with people who know how these machines are measured, prepared, lashed and cleared.

How a machinery shipment works

    Tell us about the machine

    Make, model, options and attachments, plus where it is now and where it needs to go. A link to the listing or spec sheet is ideal.

    We choose the method

    We check the transport dimensions and weight against RoRo, container, flat rack and breakbulk options and quote the one that fits best.

  3. 3

    Preparation and cleaning

    We coordinate any cleaning, dismantling, repairs or preparation the machine needs to ship and to clear biosecurity at the other end.

  4. 4

    Transport to the port

    Pickup by certified heavy haulage operators on a flat top, drop deck or float, with permits arranged for oversize loads.

  5. 5

    Shipping and documentation

    Booking, lashing, bills of lading and export paperwork handled, with condition photos recorded before the machine leaves.

  6. 6

    Clearance and delivery

    Customs clearance through our certified partners and delivery to site, or handover at the destination port.

Choosing the right shipping method

RoRo

Often the simplest and most cost-effective option for self-propelled machines on routes served by RoRo vessels. Weight and deck height limits apply.

Container or flat rack

Suits machines that fit within container or flat rack limits, routes without regular RoRo services, and loads that combine machines and parts.

Breakbulk and project cargo

For machines too large or heavy for RoRo decks or flat racks, lifted on and off the vessel as out-of-gauge cargo.

Mobile Machinery Transport FAQs

How much does it cost to ship a piece of machinery?

It depends on the machine’s dimensions and weight, the shipping method, the route and the preparation it needs. Send us the make, model and the pickup and delivery locations and we will quote it in detail.

Can you ship machinery that doesn’t run?

Often, yes. Non-running machines can usually travel in a container, on a flat rack or as breakbulk, and some RoRo services accept static cargo on roll trailers. Tell us when you request a quote so we can plan loading.

Do you handle imports as well as exports?

Yes. We move machinery into and out of Australia and between overseas countries, including customs clearance through our certified partners and biosecurity cleaning coordination.

Is my machinery insured during transit?

Marine cargo insurance is available for every shipment. We will include cover in your quote and explain what it does and doesn’t include.
